The time is finally here...

The work session for the Chaney rezoning is being held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 2:00 pm.  Again, if this is approved, I promise to bring as much stink down on this decision as I possibly can...Ethics complaints, Attorney Grievance Complaints, and all the media attention I can garner.

    I'm with you!!

This whole thing REEKS of backslapping good old boy "deals" and with "negotiations" having been held between the County Attorney and Chaney, it looks like ILLEGAL SHADY DEALMAKING TOO!!

Absolutely ridiculous the way Charles County Commissioners have handled this matter. They should be very dissapointed in themselves as a whole. No leadership and no ethics.

Pauleen is as committed to this as anyone has ever been committed to anything and she should be commended for her Community resolve to this issue.

However, one person alone "bringing down the stink" against someone like this Business & this local government will not stop this proverbial snow ball once it stops rolling. It will take the whole Community so everyone with a sense of sitting on the same side of the fence should do everything they can to be present for the opening meeting.

If our local Commissioners get any message it will be the message of fear. That fear is of losing their seat but that message will not come to them unless they see the numbers in the form of "hard-butts" in opposition sitting in meetings when they turn their mikes on.

From this point on until voting day (for the next set of our 2010 Commissioners) PRESENCE is our best offense on any issue. Make your face known as much as you can, as often as you can and speak when you can. The Commissioners may not have to like what they hear or even listen to what you have to say but they sure will be counting how many people are showing up.

The one thing they all have grown to like & have been paying attention to is that even they see we are in a recession and may not have a job outside of the one they are sitting in now if they don’t get reelected! They have become very comfortable in those jobs and don’t want to lose those jobs. They WILL count the opposition seats.

Pauleen is doing one helluva job and I have no doubt she will bring down the stink. But she adds up to just one vote in the eyes of the folks who count.

The Community can help her out – and the Community will help itself out in the long run – by simply filling in the seats.

And the Community COUNTS for much more VOTES. It always does. One person can lead, but the Community should help with its support.
