This I promise...

We have steadily been watching the commissioners' agenda to determine when the decision on the Chaney Rezoning Request will be scheduled.  If this request is approved, I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney Grievance Commission regarding the negotiations with the Chaney attorney that have been ocurring outside the public process.  I will also be filing an ethics complaint regarding the way this entire process has been handled by the commissioners and the county attorney - i.e., private site visit in another county, accepting a proffer after the close of the official record, reopening the official record just to accept the proffer, accepting sizable campaign donations from the applicant in an off election cycle when a rezoning decision is before them, etc.

I will also contact all media outlets to shine as big a spotlight on this matter, as possible.  This I promise...

    GOOD FOR YOU!!

You may be joined by some from Nanjemoy if the WSG application is approved by the BOA!!

For instance, a recent site visit was conducted by the BOA to simply allow the Board to view the site.

However,it became a forum in which the
Applicant was allowed to volunteer information, make legal arguments and submit evidence.

The applicant was allowed to respond to questions
of the Board that were outside of simple site orientation questions.

During the course of the site visit, protestants who own the neighboring property attempted to attend, and were very politely and diplomatically
not allowed to attend the proceeding.

The Board of Appeals rules also call for all meetings of the Board of Appeals to be open meetings, and they specifically prohibit the presence of the applicant at a meeting that is closed to the public.

They further prohibit the taking of testimony or legal argument at a meeting that is not
    open to the public.

It appears as though these "rules" were breached by the BOÅ!!

Looks as though there are TWO SETS OF RULES with both the Hughesville and Nanjemoy issues - one for the Applicant and one for the opponents!

"Houston, we seem to have a problem"!!!
