The way things are going in the world today...
it is nice to see that compassion and caring is still alive and well.

On November 8, 2008, the D.C. Ramblers M.C., which was established in 1937 and is located in Fort Washington, Md., held a "Toy Drive" dinner to benefit the Hughesville Battered Womens Shelter. The Members of this Club did an outstanding job putting on this event. They donated and cooked a fantastic Italian dinner, with 100% of the proceeds going to the shelter. On November 15th, a group of the D.C. Ramblers, personally delivered the toys and Gift Cards ($400.00 worth of grocery store gift cards and $400.00 worth of Walmart gift cards) to the Shelter. The employees at the shelter were very appreciative for the D.C. Ramblers efforts and thoughtfulness. It was very rewarding for the D.C. Ramblers to do this charitable event, and they plan on making this a yearly happening.
