These regional sessions are designed to engage a broad public audience in the discussion on the future of growth and development in Maryland.

We have provided several attachments to assist in our efforts to inform and encourage a wide array of individuals to attend, including community groups, organizations and citizens.  To help you spread the word through your stakeholder distribution lists, newsletters and websites we have included:

1. An information sheet for Coordinating Committee members only, which provides a summary of the project, a program agenda and request for your assistance to disseminate information.
2. The Listening Sessions Press Release
3. Email(boilerplate) which includes the address to the Listening Sessions link on the MDP website.
4. The Listening Sessions Flyer (file).
5. Newsletter and local paper article draft

We encourage you to:
1) Distribute information (the email and flyer) about these sessions to the external citizen and organization contacts of your outreach divisions;
2) Ask the grassroots organizations that you are involved with to include the boilerplate article and or the news release in their newsletters as well as distribute the email and flyer to their constituent contacts;
3) Ask your agency to post the Smart Growth Listening Sessions logo on its homepage and link to the index page on MDP's website;
4) Include the article in your newsletters and community publications; and
5) Plan to attend any or all of the Listening Sessions, as your presence and participation will be an asset.
