The pot...

calls the kettle black.

"This change in zoning is necessary for us to ensure the long-term sustainability of our company,"

"Please do not let the selfish emotionally charged interests of a small, but well-organized, group of people impede the growth and prosperity of our county and its people."

Note there is no mention of the Maryland Department of Planning's opinion on this request.

I think Mr. Childs may have misworded this sentence:

"impede the growth and prosperity of our county and its people."

I think what is really being said is:

impede the growth and prosperity of our company and its owners...

IMO, if they cared about the citizens of the county, they wouldn't want to ruin the revitalization plan for Hughesville.

Chaney doesn't give a rat's behind about the citizens of Hughesville -

This is only about THEM and then they resort to name calling and disparaging remarks about the citizens who oppose them!!

Raise as much heck as you can in Hughesville and keep Chaney and the concrete henchmen stuck in Waldorf where they belong.

Seems a bit egomaniacal to believe the "growth and prosperity of the county" hinges on Chaney's growth and prosperity.
