Chaney Rezoning Request Work Session
According to the planning department, the work session is on the schedule for Tuesday, July 22nd, however, it did not appear on board docs on the county site. A phone call to Denise Ferguson reveals that the work session may have been postponed until July 29th or 30th...
Could this be an attempt by Chaney to buy more time to pull more strings before the commissioners have to make the decision? I'll bet there are some phones ringing off the hook...When residents requested that the record be open for 30 days, they were denied.

I wonder if she or anyone else would be willing to answer the question: WHY the postponement?
Oh, you can bet that lots of strings are being pulled most likely, "discussions" btwn Chaney and the Commissioners for "concessions" from Chaney to "justify" approval.
IF the "decision" is made in favor of Chaney it will definitely send a message to all citizens of Charles County that their "quality of life" is LESS IMPORTANT than the profits Chaney, or any other developer related business, is seeking.
THIS is something that will continue to repeat itself over and over as long as we have Commissioners who are essentially "embedded" with developers and their ilk!!
