Bowling's Department Store in Hughesville Circa?
A friend lent me this great picture to post - it was so wide, I had to scan it into two pictures. Anyway, this is a picture of Bowling's Department Store which was located where we now have the playground for Catholic Charities. The middle building in the picture was a hotel which was in the same spot where Hotel Charles now sits. We need help from any local historians out there who can help us determine the time period in which this was taken...
WOW! VERY cool picture! Wouldn't it be nice to have those buildings back again with little shops and businesses in them? Thanks for sharing.

I have been able to determine this picture is circa 1900. I am having notecards printed depicting these two photos. They will be available for purchase at the Hughesville 10K/Festival.
