Thank you, Candice. I became vice chair, months ago, when the prior vice chair resigned. The new vice chair, in 2008, will be Jessie Morris. There are several new, engaged, beautiful women, who have recently joined the commission. Everyone is energized with plans and upcoming projects. We have a great group and I expect we will see their high level energy made much more public in the future.

And, I agree, Christine Parker will make an excellent chair for the commission! In the short time I have known her, I have developed a great respect for her. She's a wonderful person.
Stay tuned, for a new Charles County Commission for Women website, packed with local information regarding resources for women and children, as well as, upcoming projects and events sponsored by the Commission.
