Stadium disarray keeps fans away

Jul 2, 2007 — Opening Day Partners has a track record of doing the right thing.

The ownership group for the York Revolution has owned and operated numerous minor league baseball teams on the East Coast, including several affiliates of the Baltimore Orioles.

But the company made a costly mistake in York.

It decided to play ball this season.

The York Revolution should never have taken the field in 2007.

Sovereign Bank Stadium is not complete.

In a word, it's a joke.

So far, there doesn't seem to be that sense of urgency. Instead, the message seems to be: Deal with it York, we have other teams to worry about.
