Greetings!

Welcome, residents of Hughesville.  I created this blog as a tool for Hughesville residents to discuss topics of concern and importance regarding Hughesville as a community.

If there is a topic you wish to discuss, please send me an email and I will post the thread to begin the discussion.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Memorial Day is this weekend and we all know that means "Rolling Thunder". I know a lot of the bikers congregate in Hughesville prior to the event. Just curious if there are ever any problems (other that noise).

Our next door neighbors (4 acres away)invite friends and relatives from NC to spend the weekend with them so they can participate in "Rolling Thunder" each year. They have had as many as 28 accept their invitation. A few stayed in hotels in Waldorf, and many stayed at our neighbors house. Most come as couples, so two are riding on one bike. There have never been any problems. We hardly know they are there. I might add that those that they invite are friends from the church they used to belong to when they lived in NC 20 years ago. This is an annual gathering of friends for them. I also have not heard of any problems in the "Village" either.
